Famous / Inspirational people

Famous and inspirational leaders:

Ms Carolyn McCall = CEO of Easy Jet. She won an OBE for services to women in business back in 2008. She was mentioned in the newspaper, 'CITYAM' during either 2012 or 2013.

Mr Akbar Al Baker = CEO of Qatar Airways. One of the very few airlines in the world that has been rated a '5 Star Airline'.

Mr Doug Parker = The new CEO of American Airlines Group and American Airlines. He was the CEO of US Airways until late 2013. US Airways is merging with American Airlines in an 11 Billion USD merger agreement. Doug Parker really pushed for this merger. Doug Parker has been and still is an inspirational CEO because he got support for a merger from the bond holders, The US Government Department for Justice, the American Airlines Union leaders and the bankruptcy court. American Airlines filed for bankruptcy in November 2011, so this merger is currently propelling them out of bankruptcy thanks largely to Doug Parker's huge efforts!

Mr Peter Baumgartner = CEO of Etihad Airways.

Mr James Hogan = CEO of Etihad Aviation Group.

Mr Oscar Munoz = CEO of United Airlines.
Former CEO = Mr Jeff Smisek

Mr William Douglas 'Doug' Parker = CEO of American Airlines

Mr Alex Cruz = CEO of British Airways

The 'Meetup' organisation is fantastic. www.meetup.com Its free to join the 'Meetup' organisation and its free to join whatever Meetup groups you are interested in such as: Meetup Badminton, Meetup Skiing, Meetup Scuba Diving, Meetup Dating, Meetup Salsa and many others. I have been to many Meetup events in London and I have met people from all over the Planet from many different job industries such as: Government, law, finance, IT, education, engineering. The 'Meetup' organisation is all over the world.

The Transformers instructors = The Transformers is one of the UK's top fitness organisations. The instructors are extremely motivating, caring, organised. They push their clients to achieve results much quicker than training at a gym. I started going to the Transformers in mid 2013 and have enjoyed every Transformers sessions I have been to. They run sessions every day, I think about 200 a month. The sessions are tough but extremely rewarding. Nearly a 100 people turn up to their weekend sessions. The Transformers have trained famous celebrities such as: Glamour Model Imogen Thomas, Glamour Model Brandy Brewer, Actress and Glamour Model Jessica-Jane Clement, Super Model Cherelle Rose, World Kickboxing Champion Steve Martin, Rugby Coach Sean Holley, Athlete of the Year for 2010 - 2012 Andreas Vojta, Singer and Celebrity Ben Ofoedu, Fashion Designer Julien MacDonald and TV Presenter/ Fashion One TV Stefanie Rycraft Jones.

During my sessions with The Transformers I’ve met people in many different professions from many different countries such as: UK, India, Australia, America, France, Spain, Italy, Romania, Germany etc.
Their website is: http://www.thetransformers.com.

One of their clients (Dr Siva Sundar) lost 15kg in just 10 weeks training with them. Since the Transformers started in 2012 Dr Siva Sundar’s weight has gone down from 92 kg to 68kg. Now he is one of their instructors and he is a medical doctor.

Anti anxiety tips / suggestions

Talk to your close friends.

Secure some allies in your workplace.

Communication is the core to all relationships. Every type of relationship involves communication: family, friends, work colleagues, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives. I must thank David Evans of ‘The Transformers' fitness organisation for this inspirational lesson. If we are to have successful relationships with our friends, family, work colleagues, partners then we need to communicate with each other effectively and honestly.
Talk to some of your allies in your workplace.

If you have a Disability. Talk to your manager or supervisor early on about it so that they can help you be part of the team and help you do your job to the best of your ability. Will work colleagues be understanding about your Disability? There are serious consequences because of the Equal Opportunities Act. Secure allies in your workplace so that work colleagues will be understanding and help you. I do believe that some of your work colleagues will become friends and maybe later on, close friends for life. Please keep in mind that some of your colleagues will remain as acquaintances.
Listen to some relaxing soothing Classical music. Here is an example of some excellent relaxing music:

Always go to bed thinking something good about yourself.
Make a list of all your achievements. Keep that list with you during stressful times.
Watch some comedies.
Watch some cartoons.

Go to the toilet just before entering the interview room / exam hall. This method is fantastic and it does help to relieve the pressure, literally. Trust me, after going to the toilet, you will feel much more relaxed and more confident. My learning support tutor recommended this method just before I took my GCSE’s and it did help.

Listen to songs that you enjoy and make you laugh. Disney songs can cheer most people up:

Making friends, developing a relationship with someone

Show a genuine interest in the other person. Ask them questions about their: interests, hobbies, music tastes, film tastes, family, travel plans, ambitions, thoughts about their country, thoughts about world events etc.

I recommend using an acronym called ‘CHIMPS’ which stands for:

charm
honesty
initiative
motivation
politeness
sense

If the other person says to you, ‘I’ve had a horrible day’ or if they have told you something that has upset them, make sure you say ‘I’m very sorry’ because that phrase, ‘Sorry’ shows genuine empathy! Another phrase that shows genuine empathy is: 'If you want to talk about it, I am happy to listen and try and offer support'.

Open the door for women leading into a restaurant or office for example. I do this and women nearly always smile at me in gratitude and say thank you.

Give up your seat for a woman on a London Underground train. It's what I still do and women always smile at me in gratitude.

Find a sport / activity that you both enjoy and do that sport / activity together so you will both be happy and excited and you will both be able to reflect fondly on both your contributions to that sport/ activity!

Find an interest that you both enjoy and somehow put that interest into affect such as: both of you going to a museum together, going to the cinema together, going to a fun fair together, going to the theatre together, going out to lunch/ dinner together.

Let the girl/woman make the first move on you with the affectionate names such as: ‘darling’, ‘babe’, ‘honey’ and the affectionate phrases such as: ‘Lots of Love’, ‘Love you’ etc.

While walking or having a meal with the other person, ask them about their interests and views in: events that have happened in the UK, the environment, thoughts about the future, spark interesting conversations.

Do not always talk about your favourite subject constantly!

Do not always talk about your achievements constantly! This might be showing arrogance!

These are difficult and uncertain times involving intense job competition, financial troubles around the world and in the UK. We need our close friends and family. You will know who your true friends are. Go through life being strong, happy, confident and a good friend to others. I recommend having between 5-10 close friends for life. Enjoy your job and get on well with your work colleagues, you might need their support during certain situations at work.

Guidance in a Night Club

I really enjoy going to a night club with Friends!

Personally, I really enjoy dancing with a good or close female friend that does not mind at all dancing with me.

Personally, I’m always extremely happy when I run into people I know in the same night club that I’m in.

Too much alcohol can affect your co ordination and can also affect your situational awareness! Your dancing will be affected by too much alcohol!

Too much alcohol can affect your situational awareness and your judgement! Be very careful when moving through the club from one end to the other, moving through constantly shifting crowds of people! You do not want to knock into someone and they accidentally spill their drink!

Be careful in the club toilets, do not slip on the floor.
‘Act weird to get rid off The Undesirables’, quote from Ethan Price, ‘Do the Luna Lovegood’.
